《音樂舞蹈專業(yè)英語》一書是基于專門用途英語(ESP)理論,為民族地區(qū)的音樂舞蹈專業(yè)學(xué)生編寫的英語教材,旨在提高學(xué)生在音樂舞蹈專業(yè)領(lǐng)域的英語交際能力,使其初步熟悉音樂專業(yè)和舞蹈專業(yè)英語的基礎(chǔ)詞匯,并提高基本的日常英語交際能力和綜合能力。
本書的編排注重專業(yè)性、針對性、實用性和趣味性。本書內(nèi)容豐富,共有18個單元,每單元包括日常英語交際、音樂/舞蹈專業(yè)知識、專業(yè)知識擴展以及英語歌曲欣賞四大部分。日常英語交際部分強調(diào)交際內(nèi)容的實用性,包括打招呼、介紹、告別、致謝、邀請、祝賀、贊美等常見的主題場景,以及常用的套語、應(yīng)答用語表達(dá)和相關(guān)語境的實戰(zhàn)練習(xí),旨在提高學(xué)生的英語口語交際能力。音樂/舞蹈專業(yè)知識部分既突出專業(yè)英語的特色又兼顧趣味性,涵蓋音樂簡史、舞蹈簡史、音樂類型、舞蹈類型、樂器、戲曲和民族舞蹈、音樂舞蹈家、音樂節(jié)、舞蹈節(jié)、音樂會、音樂獎項等的介紹。本書采取文章和對話的形式,有助學(xué)生熟悉專業(yè)英語的基礎(chǔ)詞匯,從而為進行有效的英語交際打下良好的基礎(chǔ)。此外,每篇課文后都有單詞表,附有國際音標(biāo)和中文注釋,便于學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)。知識擴展部分不僅能拓展學(xué)生的視野,還能為學(xué)生提高閱讀本專業(yè)英文文獻的能力或進一步深造打下基礎(chǔ)。英語歌曲欣賞部分旨在通過英語歌曲的欣賞激發(fā)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的積極性,提高其英語聽力水平。
本書的編寫較好地體現(xiàn)了民族地區(qū)高校的特色。戲曲和民族舞蹈獨立成章,側(cè)重川劇、京劇、藏族鍋莊、羌族薩朗舞的學(xué)習(xí),有助于提高學(xué)生專業(yè)英語表達(dá)能力和跨文化交際能力,從而進行有效的地方民族文化傳播交流。
