English-speaking Countries （the USA & Canada） is the second volume of its series. The series of books are masterminded by Mr. Diao Jiandong， President of Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College （SFTC） and Mr. Wang Yingxi， Head of the Department of Business Foreign Languages and Studies of SFTC. The series of books are designated to provide a basic and holistic picture of the related countries for the English learners as to expand their global vision and to sharpen their feel of these English-speaking countries.
　　The chief compilers of this volume is Ms. Chen Chunmeng and Ms. Liu Yufang. Ms. Su Xiaona， Ms. Liumin and Ms. Wang Cong were responsible for the USA Section， while Ms. Qin Jun and Ms. Jiao Ting compiled the Canadian Section. To better facilitate the users' usage， specific information and statistics on the two countries' people， culture， economy and history are discussed under different topics.
　　The book series are parts of the Teaching Resource Database Development Project for the Business English Program in China， a national project accredited by the Ministry of Education.
