Globalization has promoted increasing international exchanges in a wide range of areas ,and the academic exchange is one of them. Actually, most of the international academic exchanges are conducted by means of academic conferences, which can gather together related experts, scholars, postgraduate students and other researchers from all over the world. The acadenuc conference participants with different work and research experiences will share and discuss on the development path of a certain technique or discipline, its hot issues, research trends and fresh proposals, which often creates inspiring or innovative viewpoints. Admittedly, the academic conference positions as an incubator for academic innovation and progress.
Then it is a must for each postgraduate student or research worker to be equipped with the academic conference exchange capability.
Graduate students are the rising force in academics and the backbone of international acadenuc exchange activities. As early as in 1993,the postgraduate work committ,ee of the State Education Ministry issued The Postgrad, uate English Syllabtus for Doctor and Master Candidates, which clearly stated: \" The goal of the postgraduate English teaching is to develop students' ability to use the tool of English to conduct professional study, research and international exchange. \" Thus, under the context of increasingly frequent academic exchanges, cultivating students' international academic exchange capability is an urgent task.So far, some relevant works on international academic conference exchanges have been published, including Professor Hu Gengshen's English on International,Conference Exchange,Professor Cong Cong's Academic Exchange English,Course,Professor Jia Weiguo's Internatwnal Acadernic English Exchangeetc.,all of which serve to cultivate graduate students' academic commurucation English capability, and to provide valuable guidance and reference for teachers and students. Inspired by the researchers and teachers' books and papers,we team members venture to comb the ten year postgraduate English teaching expenences and write this book, expecting to share with nation-wide colleagues and scholars, and to further enhance postgraduates' academic English exchange capability.
