《新視野英語教程》（第二版）是一套專供全國高職高專院校使用的英語教材，根據(jù)高職高專英語教學(xué)的發(fā)展在第一版基礎(chǔ)上進行了修訂與完善。本套教材貫徹應(yīng)用為本的設(shè)計理念，體現(xiàn)新時期高職英語的教學(xué)要求，涵蓋基本的實用英語語言知識和交際技能，培養(yǎng)學(xué)生應(yīng)用英語進行日常交流及從事相關(guān)職業(yè)活動的能力，同時提高他們的自主學(xué)習(xí)能力與綜合文化素養(yǎng)，以適應(yīng)不同工作崗位的需要。

　　《新視野英語教程（第二版）讀寫教程》每單元圍繞一個主題編寫，由Leading In and Exploring theTopic、Section A、Section B和 Section C四大部分構(gòu)成。
　　Leading In and Exploring theTopic為話題導(dǎo)入和探索部分，提供與單元主題相關(guān)的討論問題、會話及聽力練習(xí)，引導(dǎo)學(xué)生熟悉主題并積極參與本單元的話題討論。
　　Section A包含課文A和相關(guān)的閱讀理解、詞匯、短語、句型、句子翻譯等練習(xí)。這一部分中的基本寫作訓(xùn)練（BasicWriting Skills）旨在鞏固學(xué)生的語法知識，提高學(xué)生的基本寫作能力。
　　Section B包含課文B和相關(guān)的閱讀理解、詞匯、短語等練習(xí)。
