該書是高等院校護理專業(yè)的專業(yè)英語教材,采取英漢對照的形式編寫。以對話為主,設計了護理的10大方面,如:掛號看病、住院、護理評估、查房、手術前后的護理、心理護理、給藥、飲食護理、產婦護理、病護間健康交流等作為背景對話。每篇對話后有生詞表、專業(yè)術語表、參考譯文,還附一篇相關護理理論知識的文章供學習者學習。
《護理英語》共有11個單元,每個單元有幾個情景對話和一篇閱讀文章。每個對話部分圍繞特定的專題展開,有利于學生模仿并學以致用;閱讀文章與護理中文教材同步,并附有參考譯文。
